Sally Hanley
Assistant Director
Lollypop Creek Centre - Werribee
Sally’s early childhood learning journey began with volunteering at a council run kindergarten where she was encouraged to study her Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care as she had a natural affinity for the role. Two years later she wanted to expand her knowledge and undertook her Diploma in Early Childhood Education. After gaining experience with a gym creche, occasional care, 3-year-old kinder, and long daycare, Sally started at Wallaby in 2016 with the opening of our Harpley Service. After a brief hiatus, Sally returned to Wallaby as ‘there’s no place like home’. Now with 15 years’ experience in early childhood education, Sally is yet again expanding her knowledge is excited to be part of the leadership team at Lollypop Creek.
Often referred to as Rainbow Unicorn for her colourful hair and kind and nurturing nature, Sally’s favourite time of year is book week when she enjoys the conversations her costumes provoke by children, educators and families. It’s no surprise that during her down time Sally is part of a local theatre group and choir.
