Christina Lepcha Tamang

Educational Leader

Dedicated to nurturing the potential within every child, Christina embarked on her journey in early childhood education in 2017, initially drawn to the field as a mother seeking a balance between home and career. Little did she know, this path would not only enrich her professional life but profoundly shape her as a mother.

Christina’s approach to childcare is deeply rooted in respect and empowerment. Viewing children as young people, she advocates for actively listening to their needs and emotions, fostering an environment where they feel heard and understood. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, she prioritizes creating spaces that serve as a third teacher, valuing the role of nature and surroundings in a child’s development. Central to her practice is the cultivation of trust, both with the children in her care and their families.

Having assumed the role of educational leader in 2024, Christina’s commitment extends beyond individual interactions with children to fostering a culture of growth and empowerment within Wallaby Sanctuary Lakes. Christina is inspired to work alongside educators, nurturing their skills and passion, and collectively empowering children to thrive, building a community where learning is celebrated, and laying the foundation for a future generation of confident and resilient individuals.

Christina is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education excited to integrate fresh insights into her practice.

During her leisure time, Christina indulges in the art of baking which brings immense joy, not only to herself but especially for her daughters.
