Emma Nacor

Assistant Director

Emma has devoted herself to teaching since 2013. She finished her Bachelor in Secondary Education with a major in English in the Philippines in 2017 and had a year of experience in teaching with international students in the junior class before she decided to migrate to Australia.

Emma has always known that she wanted to work with children and that motivated her to continue this passion in Australia. Emma joined the Wallaby family in 2021 and has been excited to move into a leadership role. Emma is motivated to develop a life-long love of learning for the children. She is also inspired to build connections and relationships with families, communities and the diverse cultures within Sanctuary Lakes and the wider Wallaby family.

As an educator, Emma believes that a positive organisational culture and embedded professional learning for our teams leads to the development and implementation of quality educational programs. She is a strong advocate and promotes “child’s voice” in every aspect of learning, following each child’s lead and listening to their interests and ideas. Emma has developed a particular interest in the Reggio Emilia Approach, particularly the concept of the environment as the third teacher.

In Emma’s free time she loves to spend time playing guitar and singing some of her favourite songs.
